Native James was chosen to be part of BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Touchdown Tour, in which the national network shone a spotlight on artists from across the different regions in the UK – Personally selected by pioneering Grime DJ and broadcaster, DJ Target.
Native was then subsequently asked by the BBC as one of only 12 emerging artists to perform in a rap cypher which was filmed at the iconic BBC Maida Vale studios to celebrate 15 years of BBC Introducing. Impressing power players in the room who recognised his live performance potential – he was quickly booked to perform across BBC stages at Latitude, Reading and Leeds festivals LAST YEAR.
